Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1 Get your price board URL

Open Shop setup → Web Design Tools. Copy the Display Screen URL or Buy Sheet URL depending on which board you want on the TV.
  2. 2 Do not use the TV’s own browser

Display Screen and Buy Sheet are built for computer Chrome. A smart TV Internet app (Samsung, LG, built-in web) will look wrong. You cannot install desktop Chrome on the TV. A Fire Stick or Onn box opening the URL is still a TV browser — not the same as the shop PC.
  3. 3 Plug in Chromecast (if you can find one)

Connect a Google Chromecast (not a Google TV stick or Google TV Streamer) to the TV HDMI port and power. Set the TV to that HDMI input. Google stopped making Chromecast — check Amazon now if you need one. Google TV often freezes on the last frame: the clock stops and prices go stale.
  4. 4 Connect Chromecast to Wi-Fi

Follow the Chromecast setup on your phone or the Google Home app. Connect it to the same Wi-Fi network as your shop PC or laptop.
  5. 5 Open the price URL in Chrome

On a shop PC or laptop, open Google Chrome (or Brave/Edge). Paste your Display Screen or Buy Sheet URL in the address bar and press Enter. Wait for the page to fully load.

  6. 6 Click the browser menu

Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of Chrome.
  7. 7 Select Cast

Click Save and ShareCast. A panel appears listing available devices on your network.
  8. 8 Pick your TV

Click your Chromecast device name in the list. Choose Cast tab (not Cast desktop) so only the price board tab appears on the TV.
  9. 9 Adjust zoom to fit the screen

Press Ctrl + minus (or Cmd + minus on Mac) to zoom out to 80%. Resize the browser window until the price board fills the TV screen without scrollbars.
  10. 10 Leave the tab open all day

Do not close the Chrome tab. Prices refresh automatically every 5 minutes. If the TV goes blank, check that the PC did not sleep — keep the PC awake during shop hours. If a Chromecast lock happens, stop the cast in Chrome and start it again. Check the clock on the board so you know prices are current.
  11. 11 Option 2 — HDMI, no cast

If you cannot find a Chromecast, run an HDMI cable from a shop PC, a cheap mini PC, or a spare laptop into the TV. Open the same Display Screen or Buy Sheet URL in Chrome and press F11 for fullscreen. This is the same browser as the counter. Nothing is casting, so a frozen last frame cannot happen.
  12. 12 Run more than one TV

Each TV needs its own Chromecast or its own HDMI computer. You can cast two Chromecasts from one PC. Do not minimize that Chrome window — that has frozen a second TV. URLs are tied to your subscription and cannot be reused by another shop.
