Scrap Gold Pay Percentage

Step-by-step instructions

1. 1 Open Scrap Gold Config

   In the left sidebar, click Configuration to expand the menu. Click Scrap Gold. The Scrap Gold Config page loads with your pay percentage and per-karat rows.

2. 2 Review the default percentage

   You will see a main field for the standard pay percentage of melt value. Most shops land between 70%–85%. Read the live spot gold price shown on the page for reference.

3. 3 Enter your standard pay percentage

   In the box labeled pay percentage (or similar), type your standard rate. For example, type 80 to pay 80% of melt on generic scrap gold. This drives quotes across NumisNexus, the Buy Sheet, and your scrap gold fullscreen display.

4. 4 Set per-karat overrides (optional)

   If you pay differently by karat, scroll to the rows for 10k, 14k, 18k, and 22k. Type a custom percentage in each row you want to override. Leave blank to use your standard rate.

5. 5 Preview the Buy Sheet scrap row

   Open your Buy Sheet URL in a new tab (from Configuration → Web Designer Tools). The scrap gold row spans the full width and should reflect your new percentage.

   

6. 6 Click Save

   Scroll to the bottom of the Scrap Gold Config page. Click Save. You will see a confirmation when the percentage is stored.

7. 7 Test in NumisNexus

   Open Apps → NumisNexus. Tap the scrap gold preset button. Enter a weight and karat — the offer total should calculate from live spot times your saved percentage.

   

8. 8 Adjust as the market moves

   When gold spot swings sharply, revisit Scrap Gold Config and tweak your percentage. Changes apply immediately to NumisNexus, the Buy Sheet, and counter quotes — no need to edit each preset individually.
