Trust, backups, and platform status
You stay the shop: customers, inventory, and prices are yours. Plus backups, metal feeds, security, exports, and live status on spotpro.us/trust.

Step-by-step instructions
1 You stay the shop (always true)
SpotPro is software for your dealership — not a multi-dealer marketplace and not a data broker. Always true: (1) Your customers are yours — we do not hand your buyer list to other shops. (2) Your inventory is yours — we do not put your stock on another dealer’s shelf without your control. (3) Your prices are yours — no named “Shop X charges Y” comps. (4) Data isn’t a product we flip — we do not sell your customer book or inventory dump. (5) We are not competing with you for the same retail buyer — you are the merchant of record on your rails. Full page: spotpro.us/trust.2 We will not (boundaries)
We will not do named comps / price surveillance, forced network opt-in, handing out customer lists, or forced compliance theater that makes “share everything” a condition of using POS, storefront, or auction. Optional tools stay optional. See spotpro.us/trust#we-will-not.3 Public trust & status page
Open spotpro.us/trust (also /status). You will see ownership promises, live platform status, host continuous uptime, spot-feed freshness, and 7/30-day spot sample rates. Planned maintenance can be excluded from spot % so routine work does not look like a mystery outage.4 Your data belongs to you
In members, go to Point of Sale → Reports → Export my business. Download a ZIP of inventory, sales, customers, and media list. Optionally include dealer-uploaded photos (size-capped). Accounting CSVs stay under POS Reports.5 Backups (what we do for you)
SpotPro runs automated daily backups with an offsite copy. We monitor backup freshness. Recovery point is typically up to about a day (last good nightly). Database restore on our infrastructure is practiced and measured in minutes on the current host.6 Metal prices
Live metals use a primary market feed with an automatic backup API if the primary fails. A watchdog checks freshness. If both fail, safety paths can pause automated bullion web pricing.7 Login security (optional MFA)
Under Configuration → Company → Two-step verification, enable an authenticator app (TOTP). After password (or keep-me-signed-in), you enter a 6-digit code or a one-time recovery code. Staff counter PINs are separate from this account MFA.8 Inventory change history
Open any inventory item to Edit. Scroll to Change history to see who changed quantity, cost, price, description, and similar fields (entry, edit, POS sale, import).9 What we do not invent on the marketing site
We do not publish made-up dealer counts or headcount. We do not claim multi-region “five nines” or SOC 2 unless certified. Card data stays with your payment processor (and Stripe for SpotPro subscription billing).
