Buying from Customers (Shop Buys)
Purchase coins from walk-ins using the buy side of NumisNexus and Greysheet pricing.
Open NumisNexus → Opens your members area in a new tab

Step-by-step instructions
1 Open NumisNexus
In the left sidebar, click Apps → NumisNexus. The register opens with live spot chips at the top and purchase preset buttons below.
NumisNexus — your counter buy tool. 2 Confirm you are in Buy mode
NumisNexus opens in Buy mode by default. You will see preset buttons (90% Quarters, ASEs, etc.) across the top — not an inventory search bar. If you see Sell mode, click the Buy tab.3 Start a new buy session
A buy code like PUR-20260609-0001 appears at the top. Each walk-in customer gets their own session. If a previous buy is still open, finalize or cancel it first.4 Tap a preset for bullion or junk
Click a preset button matching what the customer brought — for example, 90% Quarters or 1 oz Silver Eagles. A form opens on the right asking for quantity, face value, or weight.5 Enter quantity and review the offer
Type the quantity in the box labeled quantity (or face value for junk silver). The offer total calculates from live spot plus your preset rules. You will see the per-unit and total amounts.6 Add collectible lines with Greysheet
For certified coins or numismatics, use a collectible preset or search by Greysheet catalog number. Guide values appear next to your suggested buy price when API keys are configured.
Greysheet guide values inform your offer. 7 Negotiate and adjust the paid amount
If you agreed on a different price, click the total field and type the final amount you are paying. The customer can see the offer on your Buy Sheet TV if you have one mounted.8 Add notes about the seller
Type the seller name or ID notes in the notes field. This appears on your Store Copy receipt for internal tracking.9 Finalize the buy
Scroll to the bottom. Click Finalize & Print Receipt to give the seller proof of payment, or Finalize Purchase for internal record only. A Store Copy always prints.10 Pay the customer and stock inventory
Hand the customer cash or write a check for the total. Then open Point of Sale → Stock Purchases and click Stock on each line to push items into your inventory with barcodes.
