Greysheet Hints During a Buy
Look up guide values on collectibles while you buy — without leaving NumisNexus.
Open Coin Price Lookup → Opens your members area in a new tab

Step-by-step instructions
1 Greysheet values — trial or your own keys
SpotPro includes 50 complimentary Greysheet lookups on our account so guide values can appear in NumisNexus while you evaluate the tool. For unlimited lookups, open Shop setup → Point of Sale Config → Greysheet API, paste your Dealer+ or Dealer Pro key and token from greysheet.com/cdni/apicredentials, and click Save.
Greysheet API section in POS Config. 2 Open NumisNexus for a collectible buy
Click Counter → NumisNexus. Start a new buy session. This workflow applies when buying certified coins, numismatics, or estate collectibles — not bulk bullion.3 Tap a Greysheet-enabled collectible preset
On the preset row, click Collectible Coin / Set (the button with the small Greysheet icon). That is the year-by-year catalog lookup — Pandas, Libertads, Britannias, Maples, and U.S. coins all search there. Foreign Coins (Bulk) is only for mixed bags at a flat each-price. The search box at the top of NumisNexus filters your buttons; it is not the coin catalog.4 Describe the coin or note
Read the holder label and type what you see — year, denomination, mint, and series. Examples:2019 China Panda,2023 Libertad,Britannia,MS65 1881-S Morgan,1921 Peace Dollar, orFr. 1500for paper money. PCGS and NGC slabs show cert numbers and grades, not Greysheet IDs — keyword search is how you link the coin. Matching catalog entries appear in a dropdown as you type.5 Select the match from results
Click the result that matches what the customer brought — same year, mint, and variety as the slab or raw coin. If the holder shows a grade (PCGS, NGC, ANACS, etc.), pick that grade from the Grade dropdown that appears next to the description field.6 Click Get Pricing Suggestions
After you link a catalog item, click Get Pricing Suggestions. SpotPro fetches live guide values (one Greysheet lookup from your complimentary trial or your API keys).
Get Pricing Suggestions after you select a catalog match. 7 Read the suggested buy total
The form shows a Suggested total based on Whitman Bluebook adjusted by the premium on that collectible preset in POS Config (percent or flat dollars). For modern silver or gold bullion (Pandas, Libertads, Britannias, Maples, Eagles), the suggestion will not go below what you pay on your generic rounds/bars button — book values can sit under melt. That total fills the paid-amount field as a starting offer. For the full Bluebook, Grey Sheet bid, and CPG retail breakdown, open Apps → Coin lookup in another tab.8 Adjust your offer
Guide values are starting points. Change the Total pay field to the final negotiated price. Condition, market demand, and your margin all factor into the actual offer.9 Cross-reference with Coin Price Lookup
For complex items, open Apps → Coin lookup in a second tab. Search the series and compare multiple grades before finalizing your offer.
Full grade grid in Greysheet Lookup. 10 Finalize the buy
Complete the buy normally. Guide prices from the lookup stay with the buy line and carry over when you stock into inventory.11 Values save on the inventory record
When you stock the line in Stock Purchases, the guide prices save on the inventory record. You are not charged twice when the item was already looked up during the buy.12 Use saved values for repricing
Later, everyday sell pricing and inventory display use those saved guide prices without another lookup. Use Bulk Price Update or Get prices when you want fresh values from Greysheet.
