Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1 Connect Greysheet API keys first

Open Configuration → Point of Sale Config. Scroll to Greysheet API. Paste your Dealer+ API key and token. Click Save. Without keys, guide values will not appear in NumisNexus.

  2. 2 Open NumisNexus for a collectible buy

Click Apps → NumisNexus. Start a new buy session. This workflow applies when buying certified coins, numismatics, or estate collectibles — not bulk bullion.
  3. 3 Add a collectible line

Use a preset marked for collectibles or unique items. Enter a Greysheet catalog number (GSID) from the slab label, or search by keyword in the collectible form.
  4. 4 Read the guide values

After entering the GSID, Bluebook, Grey Sheet bid, and CPG retail appear next to your suggested buy offer. The suggested buy uses your wholesale discount setting from POS Config.

  5. 5 Adjust your offer

Guide values are starting points. Click the offer amount and type your final negotiated price. Condition, market demand, and your margin all factor into the actual offer.
  6. 6 Cross-reference with Coin Price Lookup

For complex items, open Apps → Greysheet Lookup in a second tab. Search the series and compare multiple grades before finalizing your offer.

  7. 7 Finalize the buy

Complete the buy normally. Greysheet data attaches to the buy line and passes through when you stock into inventory.
  8. 8 Values save on the inventory record

When you stock the line in Stock Purchases, Greysheet data saves on the inventory record. You are not charged twice for the same API call when the item was already looked up during the buy.
  9. 9 Use saved values for repricing

Later, when repricing inventory, the saved Greysheet link lets you bulk-update prices from the guide without another lookup charge.
