Step-by-step instructions

1. 1 Understand the two subscriptions

   SpotPro and Greysheet are separate subscriptions. Your SpotPro plan includes the integration — the software that displays values. Greysheet/CDN Publishing provides the actual pricing data via an API.

2. 2 Confirm your SpotPro plan is active

   In the left sidebar, click Subscription under Account. You will see your SpotPro plan status, renewal date, and included features. SpotPro must be active for any Greysheet integration to work.

3. 3 Start with 50 complimentary SpotPro lookups

   You do not need Greysheet credentials on day one. SpotPro includes 50 free price lookups on our platform Greysheet account so you can try Apps → Greysheet Lookup and collectible hints in NumisNexus. Catalog search is always available; live values use these trial lookups until you add your own keys.

4. 4 Confirm Greysheet Dealer+ or Dealer Pro

   When you are ready for ongoing lookups, you need an active Greysheet Dealer+ or Dealer Pro subscription. Both plans already include API access — no separate API add-on.

5. 5 Open Greysheet API Credentials

   Log in at greysheet.com with your dealer account. Go directly to Greysheet API Credentials. If you do not see a key and token yet, click to generate them — it is simple and only takes a moment.

6. 6 Enter API credentials in POS Config

   Back in SpotPro, click Configuration → Point of Sale Config. Scroll to Greysheet API. Paste your API key in the first box and your token in the second box. Click Save.

7. 7 Test a lookup immediately

   Click Apps → Greysheet Lookup. Search Morgan dollar. Values should appear within a few seconds. If the grid is still empty, double-check that you copied the key and token exactly.

   

8. 8 Renew Greysheet when expired

   If values suddenly show as empty or zero, your Greysheet subscription may have lapsed. Log in at greysheet.com, renew Dealer+, and confirm your API key is still valid. No changes needed in SpotPro if the key stayed the same.

9. 9 Contact support if still blank

   If values remain empty after renewal and re-saving keys, use Report a Bug in the SpotPro sidebar or email support with your Greysheet account email. Include a screenshot of the empty lookup.

10. 10 Know what costs extra

    Your SpotPro subscription covers the integration and 50 complimentary lookups. Greysheet Dealer+ or Dealer Pro is the main optional third-party subscription for unlimited live values. Bullion-only shops that never buy collectibles can skip Greysheet entirely and use spot-based presets only.

11. 11 Expect low per-lookup API costs

    After your complimentary lookups, Greysheet bills separately from SpotPro on your API account. Each lookup is inexpensive — typically about $0.002 per call (two-tenths of one cent — not 2 cents). A very busy day of normal counter use might need roughly 100 lookups (~20¢), not $2. Everyday dealer use adds up to pocket change. When you stock from a buy lookup, SpotPro saves those guide prices on the item — you are not charged again for that same stocking step.
