1 Greysheet vs Price Check (inventory barcodes)
Use Greysheet Lookup for catalog coin values (year, mint, grade from the holder). Use Price Check (Price Check QR) when the item is already in your inventory — scan the shop barcode for your live sell price. See which counter tool to use.2 Open Greysheet Lookup
In the left sidebar, click Apps → Greysheet Lookup. Keep this tab open on a secondary monitor or tablet behind the counter for quick reference during customer conversations.Greysheet Lookup — your counter reference tool. 3 Search by keyword
Click the search box at the top. Type a plain-English description —1881-S Morgan,Buffalo nickel 1937-D, orPeace dollar. Press Enter. Results list matching series and varieties.4 Search by GSID (saved lookups only)
After SpotPro links a coin, the result shows a GSID (Greysheet catalog ID). You can type that number directly if you saved it from a prior lookup or inventory record. PCGS and NGC holders do not print Greysheet numbers — at the counter, search by year, mint, and series from the label instead.5 Click a result to see grades
Click any result in the list. A grade grid opens showing values for each grade level — from Good through MS70 and Proof. Scroll horizontally if needed to see all grades.6 Read bid and ask columns
The Bid column shows wholesale buy prices dealers pay. The Ask or retail column shows what dealers charge. Use bid as your starting point when making an offer to buy from a customer.7 Read suggested buy and sell
Below or beside the grid, SpotPro shows Suggested Buy and Suggested Sell based on your wholesale discount and markup settings from POS Config. These are starting points — adjust for condition and market.8 Compare to your inventory price
If the coin is already in your inventory, open Point of Sale → Current Inventory in another tab and search the item. Compare your retail price to the Greysheet suggested sell to stay competitive.9 Use the same catalog in NumisNexus
During a shop buy, open a Greysheet-enabled collectible preset in NumisNexus, search the same way, select a match, and click Get Pricing Suggestions for a suggested buy total. Guide values stay on the buy line when you stock into inventory — you are not charged twice for the same item.

SpotPro gives you 50 complimentary Greysheet lookups on our account to get started. After that, your own Dealer+ or Dealer Pro keys typically run about $0.002 each (less than half a penny — not 2¢). Even a very busy day at the counter is usually on the order of ~100 lookups (~20¢) — use Coin Price Lookup freely for customer questions and offers.11 Add your own keys when the trial runs out
When complimentary lookups are used up, log in at greysheet.com and open API Credentials. Paste the key and token in Configuration → Point of Sale Config → Greysheet API and click Save.12 Bookmark for your staff
Tell counter staff to bookmark Apps → Greysheet Lookup for phone inquiries. Read the suggested sell price to quote a customer, then open Sales Checkout to complete the sale if they visit.
