Send a Text Notification

Compose and send an SMS blast to your subscriber list.

Send Notifications → Opens your members area in a new tab

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1 Confirm Twilio is connected

Before sending, verify Twilio credentials are saved under Configuration → TEXT (SMS) Messaging. If not configured, complete that setup first.
  2. 2 Open Send Notifications

In the left sidebar, click Messaging → Send Notifications. The compose page loads with a message field and recipient count.
  3. 3 Check your subscriber count

At the top of the page, you will see how many subscribers will receive the text. If the count is zero, display your QR signup link at the counter and wait for opt-ins before blasting.
  4. 4 Write your message

Click the message text box. Type your announcement. Keep it under 160 characters when possible to avoid multi-segment charges. Start with your shop name so recipients know who sent it.
  5. 5 Example messages

Good examples: Coin Shop — ASE sale this Saturday 9–5, premiums reduced! or Detroit Coin Show this weekend — stop by table 42! Always include opt-out language.
  6. 6 Add opt-out language

End your message with Reply STOP to opt out. This is required by law and Twilio policy. Subscribers who reply STOP are automatically removed from your list.
  7. 7 Preview character count

Watch the character counter below the text box. Messages over 160 characters split into multiple segments — you pay per segment. Edit to stay concise.
  8. 8 Review recipient count again

Confirm the subscriber count matches your expectations. A blast to 500 subscribers at one segment each costs roughly $3–4 in Twilio fees.
  9. 9 Click Send

Click the Send button. A confirmation dialog may appear — click Yes to confirm. Delivery begins immediately.
  10. 10 Wait for delivery

Large lists may take a few minutes to deliver. Do not click Send again. Check Messaging → Manage Subscribers later to confirm no mass opt-outs occurred.
  11. 11 Review results in Twilio

Log in to your Twilio console and open Messaging → Logs to see delivery status for each number. Failed deliveries usually mean invalid or opted-out numbers.
