Step-by-step instructions
1 What this does
When protection is on and currently active: ExtraCoins checkout pauses per your scope (entire cart or spot/dynamic only), and Auction pauses spot/dynamic Buy Now on lots with no active bids. Timed bidding stays live. Browse always works. External marketplaces: SpotPro sets available quantity to 0 on in-scope linked listings (cannot turn off their checkout). SpotPro on-hand is unchanged; qty restores when protection clears. Automatic spot-linked price revisions wait while unavailable; manual Update prices still works. Coin Dealer X wholesale is not controlled here.2 Two policies + feed health
Sell while the tape is live (recommended) — keep spot-linked sales active when Kitco/spot is printing (weeknights and Sunday evening after the global reopen). Pause only if the feed is stale or down. U.S. session only (ultra-conservative) — also pause outside Mon–Fri 9:30am–4:00pm ET even when quotes are still live. Feed health always applies when protection is on: if gold spot in SpotPro is older than about 20 minutes (or missing), online metal is paused regardless of the clock.3 Open the setting

Check Protect online metal sales (spot-linked). Pick Sell while the tape is live or U.S. session only. Choose ExtraCoins/marketplace scope: Entire checkout or Spot / dynamic-priced items only. Spot ingest runs about every 5 minutes (including outside the U.S. day session). Kitco may still print on Sunday evening while the U.S. “session open” badge is closed — that is live tape, not Friday’s freeze. A soft after-hours print is normal market behavior; use premiums/floors if you want a buffer. True risk for binding sales is a stale or missing feed.6 What customers see
ExtraCoins: checkout explains the pause when their cart is blocked. Auction: quiet spot-linked lots show Buy Now paused; max bid still works. Linked external marketplaces: in-scope listings show out of stock / unavailable (qty 0) until SpotPro restores stock when protection clears.7 Typical dealer workflow
Most shops: turn protection on + tape is live so Sunday evening buyers still get a real quote, but a dead feed cannot take a sale. Ultra-conservative shops: use U.S. session only. Soft after-hours prices → adjust Online Pricing markups/floors, not blanket weekend pause. In-store POS is never affected.8 Auction details
