Pickup, Zelle, Same-Day Wire & Cash at Checkout

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1 Open Company Profile → Online payments

    In the left sidebar, click Configuration → Company Profile. Scroll to Online payments, then down to Pickup & alternate payments.

  2. 2 Enable local pickup

    Check Offer local pickup. Customers can choose pickup instead of shipping at checkout. Card and Zelle work with pickup or ship; cash is pickup-only.
  3. 3 Enable Zelle (optional)

    Check Accept Zelle. Enter your Zelle phone or email in Zelle phone or email. Customers see your payee info and a memo code like EC-12345 after placing the order.
  4. 4 Enable same-day bank wire (optional) — separate deposit account required

    Read the red security warning first. Never use your main business checking account. Open a separate incoming-only deposit account at your bank (Huntington and many others offer accounts that accept incoming wires but block outgoing checks and debits). Routing + account numbers are enough for criminals to print fraudulent checks — check-cashing stores, banks, and retailers can cash them against your real account if you publish the wrong numbers.

    Then check Accept same-day bank wire, enter only that deposit account in Same-day wire instructions (private), and confirm the safety checkbox. Instructions are never shown on your public store — only on the thank-you page and confirmation email after checkout.
  5. 5 Ask your banker for the right account type

    Tell your business banker: I need a separate deposit account for incoming customer wires only — outgoing transactions blocked. Also called a collection account or deposit-only account. Sweep received funds to your normal operating account on your schedule. If you are unsure, leave same-day wire disabled until the bank sets this up.
  6. 6 Same-day wire for large bullion orders

    This mirrors what many shops already do in person: give the customer your safe deposit account, they go to the bank, wire, and return when it clears. Online, the customer places the order first, receives private wire instructions, and should request a same-day wire — especially for high-value gold and silver. Include your bank’s wire cutoff time in the instructions field. ExtraCoins does not offer online bank-login payments (Plaid-style) today — customers wire from their bank after checkout.
  7. 7 Enable cash at pickup (optional)

    Check Cash at pickup. The customer places the order without paying online; they pay when they collect at your shop. Inventory is held until they arrive or the hold expires.
  8. 8 Add pickup instructions

    Type hours and directions in Pickup instructions — for example, Mon–Sat 10–5, ring bell at side door. This appears on the thank-you page and in confirmation emails.
  9. 9 Set hold duration in POS Config

    Open Configuration → Point of Sale Config and scroll to Online Store & Orders → Zelle & cash inventory holds. Set how many hours to reserve stock before unpaid orders auto-cancel and restock. Recommended: 24 hours for Zelle, cash, and same-day wire. See Online Store & Order Settings.
  10. 10 Optional: text staff on new orders (including Zelle)

    In Company Profile → Alert preferences, turn on Text me for urgent shop alerts and check New ExtraCoins online order. SpotPro texts your mobile when any web order is placed — paid card/PayPal and pending Zelle or cash. Zelle alerts include the memo EC-{order} and say to confirm when your bank shows payment.
  11. 11 Restrict pickup to same state (recommended)

    In the same POS Config section, under Local pickup eligibility, leave Require pickup & cash customers to be in the same state as the shop checked. Checkout shows Available in {STATE} only and blocks out-of-state buyers from choosing pickup or cash.
  12. 12 Click Save in Company Profile

    Scroll to the bottom of the Online payments section and click Save. Wait for the green confirmation before testing on your live store.
  13. 13 What customers see at checkout

    On your extracoins.com checkout, shoppers pick Ship to me or Local pickup, then choose card, PayPal (if enabled), Zelle, same-day wire, or cash. Orders above your card/PayPal limits require wire. Wire never exposes your bank account on the public store — instructions appear only after checkout. Pickup requires the customer to enter their state and ZIP. Pending orders show a countdown until the hold expires.

  14. 14 Fulfill orders in SpotPro

    Orders land in Ecommerce → Orders. When the customer is at your counter, open Apps → Sales Checkout → Web pickup, type their EC-{order id}, and tap Confirm Zelle received, Confirm wire received, or Mark picked up.   15. 15 Automatic cancel & restock

    Unpaid Zelle, same-day wire, and cash orders expire after your hold hours (POS Config). SpotPro cancels the order, restores inventory, and emails the buyer. A background job runs every 15 minutes — you do not need to manually restock expired holds.
  16. 16 Wire timing & market hours

    Same-day wire is intended for business-day bank hours. When the U.S. market is closed, your storefront may pause online checkout entirely (banner on the shop) — shoppers can still browse and add to cart. Wire checkout also respects bank-hours messaging when enabled.
