Where it sits — place code on the sticker
Save a short place code such as C1/T2. Label 2 prints SAMPLE999 - C1/T2 under the bars so staff walk to case 1, tray 2 without opening the computer.
Open Where it sits → Opens your members area in a new tab
Step-by-step instructions
1 What you are seeing
On the sticker, under the bars, you see the barcode number, a dash, and the place code. SAMPLE999 - C1/T2 means the number is SAMPLE999 and the coin is in case 1, tray 2. The dash is not part of the code. You save C1/T2, not “Case 1, tray 2.” A coin with no place shows the number only. Online, Showcase, and Vault are not printed on that line. C1/T2 is an example. Your shop names its own codes.2 Add the short code
Open Shop setup → Where it sits. The same list is on Point of Sale Config → Where it sits, and Current Inventory → Places opens it too. You do not open a coin first. Add the short code, such as C1/T2, ST1, OF4, or S1. Case 1, tray 2 does not fit a 1.50" × 0.50" label. C1/T2 does. Drag a place by the grip to match the order you walk the shop. That order is the dropdown on Add, Edit, and Tag and Scan, and the order of the place stickers. Showcase, Vault, and Online stay as they are. This is not a second building.3 File the coin
On Current Inventory, check the coins in that tray and use Put in (up to 100). Or open one coin and set Where it sits. Tag and Scan uses the same list. Coins already in inventory stay blank until you file them. New coins use the place marked for new coins unless you pick Not set.4 Print Label 2
Label 2 is Labels → Design Your Labels. The default layout is{barcode_combined_place}{description}. That prints the number, a dash, and the place code, then the title. The live preview uses the bullion sample SAMPLE999 - C1/T2. The bell on that card and on Where it sits explains the same line. A separate token,{location}, still shows the place when one is set, and still falls back to Showcase, Vault, or Online when no place is set.
