AI Coin Lookup & Add to Inventory
Photograph a raw coin or a slab with your phone. SpotPro identifies it, matches Greysheet, and shows your shop buy/sell — then keeps the photos for inventory. Not CoinSnap: this is your shop math.

Step-by-step instructions
1 What this is (and is not)
SpotPro Use AI identifies a raw coin, slab, note, set, or bullion piece from photos (or from typing a name), then prices it with your shop buy and sell — junk silver pay, bullion spot-plus, collectible premiums, and Greysheet when keys are connected. Raw is the daily path: front and back of the metal. A 2x2 flip is not a slab. If it is in a holder, add a label shot. Photos stay so you can add the piece to inventory or send it to NumisNexus without shooting it twice. It is not CoinSnap and not a generic collector app: CoinSnap tells a hobbyist a name and a generic retail guess. This tool is the shop — your numbers, your catalog, your stock ticket.2 Two jobs, same vision
Look up (Apps → Coin lookup → Use AI, or phone/members/coin-lookup-ai/ members app Look up): identify, show shop prices, write an offer, then optionally send to NumisNexus or keep photos for inventory. Add to inventory (New Inventory Item → Use AI, or members app Add to inventory): the same photos fill the stock form — you still review and Save on the computer. Lookup photos stay about 7 days for later stocking.3 Open Coin lookup on the computer
In the left sidebar, click Apps → Coin lookup (Greysheet Lookup). Click Use AI. A QR appears. Scan it with your phone, or tap Open on this phone if you are already on a phone. Feature Search (Ctrl+K) → type use ai, scan coin, or coinsnap.
Use AI on Coin lookup — QR for the phone, prices on the right. 4 Photograph front and back (raw coins)
On the phone, tap Front (obverse), then Back (reverse). That is enough for a raw coin in the hand or in a 2x2 — the camera reads the metal and gives a conservative wear grade. If it is in a PCGS/NGC holder, add a label shot so cert and printed grade copy from the holder. You can also type a name (for example1921 Peace) and pick from the same Greysheet catalog as the computer — photos are optional when you already know the piece.
Front / back plates plus type-and-pick catalog search. 5 Read shop numbers — not a generic guide
After identify, the card shows Bluebook, Grey Sheet bid, CPG retail when Greysheet can price it, plus Our buy and Our sell from your POS presets, master premiums, junk silver pay, and bullion spot-plus. Common circulated 90% can prefer junk melt pay over a collectible Greysheet bid. Wheat cents can use your bulk bucket. Grade steps one click at a time (MS65 vs MS66 is different money). ID still works without Greysheet keys; live guide numbers need the 50 complimentary lookups or your own Dealer+ / Pro keys in POS Config.
Our buy / Our sell with Greysheet layers and shop premiums. 6 What “smart” means here
The camera reads the metal, not the lighting. Slab labels (PCGS/NGC cert, grade, designations like FB / DCAM) are copied from the holder. Raw coins get a conservative wear grade. Boxed proof/mint sets are treated as sets, not a single circulated coin. Private rounds and bars stay generic bullion — they are not named as Morgans just because the art looks similar. Gold Eagles use the face value size (G$50 / G$25 / G$10 / G$5). Indian Head gold is not a Saint-Gaudens $20. Better-date / key-date flags ask you to review carefully. If weight matters, the phone can show a weigh-it-before-you-pay check.7 Offer, NumisNexus, or inventory
Your offer starts at Our buy. Tap NumisNexus to put the piece on a buy ticket, or To inventory / Keep for inventory to open New Inventory Item with the photos already attached.8 Add to inventory with Use AI
Open Point of Sale → New Inventory Item. Click Use AI, scan the QR, photograph the piece. Title, grade, cert, type, and prices fill the form. Review, then Save. You are still the one who stocks it — AI does not auto-save.
Use AI bar on New Inventory Item — photos fill this form. 9 Phone home
On a phone, open /members/app. Look up is values and offer. Add to inventory is the stocking camera. Same shop login; keep “Keep me signed in” on so the phone stays ready at the counter.
