Purchase holds (optional waiting periods)
Optional hold days after NumisNexus / public buys — queue, safe-pull & held-lot prints, email release notice; not pawn software.
Open Purchase holds queue → Opens your members area in a new tab

Step-by-step instructions
1 Opt-in only — not a pawn product
SpotPro does not force city/state scrap rules and is not pawn-loan software (no tickets, interest, or LE export packs). Some areas have waiting periods on purchases from the public. Purchase holds are optional so you can keep stock out of sellable inventory for N days if you choose.2 Turn holds on (POS Config)
Open Configuration → Point of Sale Config and jump to the Holds section (sticky nav). Enable holds, set default days, release hour (Eastern), apply mode (all public buys / scrap only / manual only), auto-release, email notice, and optional floor location. Save freeform local rules notes for printouts.
POS Config → Holds. 3 Open the hold queue
Sidebar Point of Sale → Purchase holds, or Go to (Ctrl/Cmd+K) → “purchase holds” / “safe pull” / “waiting period”. AI Spot answers the same phrases.
Purchase holds ops queue. 4 How stock is held
When you stock a buy from NumisNexus / Stock a buy and holds apply, the item status becomeson_holduntil the hold date. Checkout and barcode sell paths skip held items (clear “on hold until DATE” message). Inventory cards show a yellow Hold badge. You may still list to store or auction for prep; public channels stay at 0 available until release.5 Release + notice
Auto-release runs about every 2 hours after the due date/hour (plus on-demand Release all due). The queue shows due items, Released today with case/store/auction hints, and a 90-day log. Optional email notifies staff. Dashboard Needs attention surfaces due and released counts.6 Printable sheets for the safe
From the hold queue toolbar: Safe-pull (due + released today), Held lots (per-item cards with signature lines), Rules notes (coin/scrap/PM industry patterns + state-oriented orientation — not legal advice), or Full packet.
Held lot record printout. 7 Legal disclaimer
This is a workflow tool, not legal counsel. Statutes and local ordinances vary (scrap vs secondhand vs precious-metal buyer rules). You remain responsible for compliance.
