Track Slab Certification Numbers
Save PCGS/NGC/ANACS cert numbers and grade on inventory — optional, collapsible. Listing photos of the slab are enough; scan reads the number.

Step-by-step instructions
1 Where it lives
On New Inventory Item, Edit Inventory, and Sell online → New Listing / Edit Listing, open the collapsible Certification (slabs) block under the product title. It stays closed when empty so raw stock is not noisy.2 Photograph the slab once, under Listing photos
Take front and back of the holder in Listing photos. Those are the listing. SpotPro crops the coin out of the slab as extra listing photos (same as the phone AI camera) and can read the cert number from those shots. You do not take a second set of “cert photos.”3 Expand only for graded coins
Tap the section header. Choose a grading service (PCGS, NGC, ANACS, ICG, CAC, Other) or leave Raw. Enter the cert number and grade (e.g. MS70, PF69 UCAM) if listing photos did not fill them. Scan does not save extra photos.4 Read cert # from a photo (if listing photos missed it)
On a computer, click Read cert # from a photo. A QR appears — open the phone camera, photograph the cert label. Service, cert number, and grade fill on the desktop. This is OCR only — it does not add listing photos. You can still type or edit fields by hand.5 Scan on the phone itself
On a phone or tablet, the same button opens the camera on that device. No second-device QR step required. Still OCR only — take listing photos of the slab in Listing photos.6 Title auto-fill
If the product title already includes an NGC-style number (e.g.1234567-001) orPCGS #…plus a grade, SpotPro can parse those into the cert fields when you leave the title field — no double typing.7 Search and badges
On Current Inventory, search by cert number. Items with a saved cert show a compact badge (service · grade · #). The same cert cannot live on two items. If you scan, read, or type a cert that is already in the shop — New Inventory Item, Coin lookup, or Add with AI — you see the existing tag (and a photo when we have one) so you can open that item instead of adding it twice.8 Store listings share the same data
Publishing from New Listing creates POS inventory and saves cert fields on that item. Editing a listing that is linked to inventory updates the same cert record used at the counter.9 PCGS cert vs the coin (Use AI / Coin lookup)
When you photograph a PCGS slab with Use AI or Coin lookup, or when you type a PCGS cert on the inventory form, SpotPro checks that number with PCGS. If it is not in their files, or PCGS has a different coin on that cert, you see it before you save. A fake holder that copies a real cert for the same type of coin can still pass a number check.10 Add certs to older stock (Price Check)
Most older graded items were stocked before cert tracking. On Price Check (phone), scan the shop tag. If the item has no cert, you are asked if it is a slab. Tap Add cert, then scan the barcode on the holder (not your shop tag) or type the number. The cert is saved on that item and blocked from being used on a second item.
