Record Your First Buy in NumisNexus

Step-by-step instructions

1. 1 Open NumisNexus

   In the left sidebar, click Apps → NumisNexus. If staff PIN is enabled, type your 4-digit PIN in the lock screen and press Enter.

   

2. 2 Note the buy session code

   At the top of the screen, you will see a buy code like PUR-20260609-0001. This identifies the session. Every line you add belongs to this buy.

3. 3 Pick a preset button

   Click a button such as 90% Quarters or 1 oz Silver Eagles. A form opens on the right side of the screen.

4. 4 Enter quantity or face value

   Type the quantity in the box labeled quantity. For junk silver, you may enter face value instead (e.g. 100 for $100 face). The offer total calculates from live spot plus your preset rules.

5. 5 Review the calculated offer

   You will see a per-unit price and line total. The math uses live spot from the chips at the top and the premium you set in POS Config. If you negotiated a different price, click the total and type the final amount.

6. 6 Add more lines (optional)

   Tap additional preset buttons for each category in the buy. Each line appears in the list below the presets with description, quantity, and amount.

7. 7 Add notes (optional)

   Click the notes field and type venue info (e.g. "Detroit Coin Show") or seller details. Notes appear on your Store Copy receipt for internal tracking.

8. 8 Scroll to the finalize panel

   Scroll to the bottom of the page. You will see three buttons: Finalize Purchase, Finalize & Print Receipt, and Save as Estimate.

9. 9 Click Finalize Purchase

   For your first test buy, click Finalize Purchase (no customer receipt needed for practice). A Store Copy receipt opens in a print dialog — your internal record with every line and total.

10. 10 Open Stock Purchases

    In the left sidebar, click Point of Sale → Stock Purchases. Your test buy appears in the pending list with the buy code you saw earlier.

11. 11 Stock one line into inventory

    Click the buy code to open details. Click Stock on one line. Fill in description, retail price, category, and photos. A barcode is assigned automatically. The item is now searchable in Sales Checkout.
