List coins on eBay from inventory
List SpotPro inventory on eBay without retyping: Connect eBay, load shipping/payment/return policies created on eBay, set Buy It Now vs timed-auction defaults, list from Current Inventory, and keep bullion prices current until someone bids.
Open eBay seller desk → Opens your members area in a new tab

Step-by-step instructions
1 What this is (and is not)
SpotPro does not replace eBay. You keep selling on eBay. SpotPro is the shop system underneath: inventory, prices, and packing. List on eBay publishes a coin you already have in Current Inventory. That is the opposite of Import catalog, which brings years of existing eBay SKUs into SpotPro without recreating those listings. Use import when eBay is already full. Use List on eBay when the coin is in SpotPro and you want it on eBay.2 Connect eBay once
Open Sell online → Marketplaces. Expand the eBay card. Save the eBay seller name if asked. Click Connect eBay. Sign in as the account you sell with, then Agree. You come back Connected. SpotPro uses its own eBay app — you do not create developer keys. If Connect eBay cannot run, support can paste a token.3 Create shipping, payment, and return policies on eBay
eBay will not publish a listing until the seller has three business policies on that eBay account: shipping (how you ship, handling time, cost or free), payment (how buyers pay — managed payments is the usual one), and returns (whether you take returns, who pays return shipping). SpotPro cannot create those. You make them once on eBay:
1) Log in to eBay as the same seller you connected.
2) Open Seller Hub → Settings → Business policies. If eBay asks you to opt in, do that.
3) Create one of each. Simple names are fine: Shipping Policy, Shop Payment Policy, Return Policy.
eBay’s own help: business policies. Merchant location (ship-from city) is created from your shop address if eBay does not already have one.4 Load policies and set listing defaults
Open Sell online → eBay → Settings. Click Load policies from eBay. Pick shipping, payment, and return in the dropdowns and save. Then set how new listings start (you can still change them per coin):- Default listing type — Buy It Now (Good ’Til Cancelled) stays up until it sells or you end it. Timed auction ends after the days you pick (1, 3, 5, 7, or 10).
- Starting bid % of your SpotPro sell price (85% opens a bit under).
- Buy It Now % of inventory sell (100% = same as inventory). On a timed auction, eBay requires Buy It Now to be at least 30% above the starting bid — SpotPro raises it if needed.
- Floor — a locked dollar stop. Default is a % of sell when you list (or type Floor $ on the list form). That dollar is stored on the listing. If gold crashes, we will not reprice start / BIN / GTC below it. 0 = no floor. After a bid, we do not change the auction.
- Default category — bullion categories for metal; Coins: US for graded and mint-state U.S. coins.
5 List from Current Inventory
Open Counter → Current Inventory. On the coin’s card click List on eBay. Confirm listing type, duration, starting bid, Buy It Now, category, and condition. Click List on eBay again to publish. If eBay returns an error, the form stays open with the message above the listing type — fix it and submit again; you do not start over. When it works, the card shows View on eBay. eBay Seller Hub can take a minute or two to catch up; SpotPro has the live link as soon as eBay accepts the listing. Missing policies save the inventory item but do not publish.6 Category and condition (Coins: US vs bullion)
Coins: US is for graded slabs, mint-state coins, and most numismatic U.S. coins. That category does not use New or Used. Pick Graded. Bullion (American Silver Eagles sold as metal, bars, rounds) uses a bullion category. If eBay says the condition is invalid, you are almost always in Coins: US with New/Used — switch to Graded. Weekly “this product” quantity limits on eBay are for a catalog product in some bullion categories, not one listing for your whole shop. Graded coins should not use that bullion catalog product.7 Seller desk — Sell online → eBay
Open Sell online → eBay for the seller desk: live listings with photos, active bids, sold (30 days), awaiting payment, paid not shipped, and settings. Tabs: Overview, My listings, Offers, Payments & shipping, Claims, Feedback, Settings. Offers, returns, and feedback that eBay still owns stay on eBay Seller Hub — SpotPro links you there. Sell online → Online Listings has an eBay channel filter next to ExtraCoins, Auctions, and Wholesale so you can see every coin listed on eBay.8 Live metal prices after it is listed
Bullion follows live metal + your premiums about every 5 minutes, and when you save the inventory item.- Buy It Now / Good ’Til Cancelled — listing price updates when inventory sell or spot moves.
- Timed auction, no bids yet — starting bid and Buy It Now keep pace with silver/gold/platinum/palladium and honor your floor. Buy It Now stays at least 30% above start.
- Timed auction with bids — SpotPro does not change the price. We never revise a bidding auction.
9 Sold at the counter or ExtraCoins first
If the coin sells somewhere else (counter, ExtraCoins, wholesale) before it sells on eBay:- Buy It Now — available qty goes to 0, or the listing ends, so it cannot double-sell.
- Timed auction, no bids — SpotPro ends the listing. eBay does not allow quantity 0 on an auction, so ending is the honest move.
- Timed auction that already has bids — we do not end it. Bidders keep their auction.
10 ExtraCoins storefront shows On eBay
If the same coin is also on your ExtraCoins store (or a hosted pack site), shoppers can see it is On eBay, and whether they would bid or Buy It Now — including when bids are already in. That is a buyer-facing badge, not a second inventory book.11 If you already have years of eBay listings
Do not recreate them. Use Marketplace Connections → Import catalog: Scan catalog (preview), then Import this batch. Matching SKUs link; missing SKUs become SpotPro inventory. Listings stay live. After import, SpotPro is the hub for quantity, prices, orders, and ship tracking.
